Some exciting things are starting to develop in your club.  Member Mike Ward has been working hard on setting up a website for us and if you are reading this post, then it means you have found it.  It is in the infancy stage, but it is looking as it has some great possibilities for us.  Not only does it bring our club into the mainstream way of connecting with our members, but it offers alternatives to our monthly bulletins, allows for real time information being posted for our members to read, and offers us a chance to provide links to numerous other sites which would otherwise not be possible with our traditional ways.

Stay tuned as we go forward with this effort.  And as always, if you are not fishing, then we would appreciate your sending in your comments and suggestions.

And the next time you see Mike, please thank him for his hard work with this effort.

Bob

I hope you have been able to enjoy your time at the lake this year. It sure has been an unusual one. It seems the fish are on a different pattern then we have seen in prior years, with hot spots sometimes being at the dam and then all the way up above Hales Fort Bridge, Indian Point and beyond on the Roanoke River side. Heck, in my cove, even the alewives were on a different pattern this year. I also think that Becky’s and Betty’s have not been as productive as in prior years. Large schools seem to be hard to find at times and when you do, the bite can be slow. At least that is what I have been seeing and hearing. I myself, have had a hard time getting out there and trying for myself. But fish are being caught so you should be out there fishing.
