Well, this has been a wet and overall "cool" July - and we are closing out the last report of July with a drop in surface temps - though the lower levels are still gradually warming. It only takes a bit of rain and some clouds to change those surface temperatures several degrees up or down, but don't be fooled by just the few feet of temperature....

Water Temps - 7/23/13
Summer's heat progresses and continues to warm the overall water column. Surface temps are consistently hitting the mid-80's by afternoon, and the deeper waters are slowly warming as well.
Water Temps - 7/15/13
The rains, cloud cover and cooler than normal temps over the past week have tempered the water temperatures, although expect to see a jump in the surface temps in the next readings - surface temps of 85 have been seen some already a few days after this data was collected.
Water Temps - 7/8/13
An interesting water profile with these measurements. There appears to be two temperature breaks - perhaps due to all the rainfall we've received in recent weeks.
