2015 SMSC Tournaments
In 2015, the Club will be holding a "fun" tournament for members & guest in June, and then a more competitive tournament in October

2015 Fall Open Tournament
Who: SMSC Members or any member of the general public. Participants are not allowed to engage the services of a guide for hire, but a guide may participate in the tournament, along with at team of his or her choosing, as long as they are not being paid on the day of the tournament.
What: Catch-Photo-Release style, Team/Boat based tournament
Why: Promote some friendly competition within the Club and collect fish for a Club Fish-Fry to follow.
When: October 3, 2015 6:45 am "lines-in"; Check-in closes at 4pm
Check-in: Opens at 3:30 - Last call at 4pm (must be in line)
Where: Smith Mountain and Leesville Lake - Check-in Location is at Captain's Quarters near the Hales Ford Bridge on Hwy 122
Entry fee: $75 per team/boat; Optional $25 Big Fish pot
Registration Deadline: Must receive registration no later than the close of the Mandatory Captain's Meeting to be held as a part of the October SMSC Club Meeting
Awards: 1st through 4th place, Optional Big Fish plus all non-placing teams will be entered into a drawing for a Cash Raffle, made of of 10% of the overall entry fees

2nd - 25%
3rd - 10%
4th - 5%
Raffle Pot - 10%
Big Fish Pot - 100% payout

Who: Member/guest(s)
What: Striper Tournament & Cook-out, 2 fish limit total weight, 20 inch minimum size.
Why: Promote some friendly competition within the Club and collect fish for a Club Fish-Fry to follow.
When: June 13, 2015 5:30 am "lines-in"
Weigh in: 1 - 2 pm at the 4H Pavillion
Where: Smith Mountain and Leesville Lake
Entry fee: Adult Members / Guest $10 ; Youth (15 and under) free.
Registration Deadline: Must receive registration no later than the June 5th meeting.
Awards: 1st - 3rd place Adults & Youth will receive plaque/certificate.
Door Prizes: Each entrant will receive 1 ticket, then receive an additional ticket for each fish weighed in. One prize per entrant. Separate prizes for youth entrants. Must be present to win. 50/50 drawing will be held at weigh in.
Cook-Out to Follow the Weigh-in: Hot dogs and drinks provided.
